| TUTORS ARE TRAINED, qualified and experienced industry professionals in the subjects they teach and have been fully CRB checked. They treat all students equally and are dedicated to giving them all the same opportunities to enhance their skills and guiding them towards achieving their maximum potential within a safe environment. All Tutors are addressed on a first-name basis and give as much respect to their students as they would wish to receive in return. They are available to talk to at the end of each session if students or parents have anything to discuss. STEVE ANDERSON BA (Hons.) PA - SINGING TUTOR & CO-PRINCIPAL Steve is proud to be the founder of Starlight Theatre School. After receiving a Diploma in Music Technology, Steve trained at the Centre for The Arts and at the University of Hertfordshire, gaining a BA (Hons.) in Performing Arts, specialising in Musical Theatre and Vocal Technique. He works full-time at Starlight and also teaches vocal technique part-time at a college in Cambridgeshire. He has performed lead roles with many theatre companies across the country as well as the West End and abroad. Theatre includes Galileo in We Will Rock You, Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar, Tommy in Tommy, A-rab in West Side Story. And Unfirth in The Ledgend of Beowulf. Concerts include In Search Of Eden with the late Sir Nigel Hawthorne, JAM – The Last Ever Gig & JAM – The Last Ever Gig 2.
SARAH ANDERSON HND-PA - ACTING TUTOR & CO-PRINCIPAL Sarah specialises in acting techniques and trained at The Centre for the Arts, The Academy Drama School, London, The Actors Studio at Pinewood Film Studios as well as completing an advanced working in television course at RADA. Her experience has included many lead roles in theatre productions and tours in the UK & abroad. Theatre work includes the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Ophelia in Hamlet (Gordon Craig Theatre), Kelly in Babies (Barons Court Theatre, London). Voice-over work includes Selim Bega for Synergy Films. Film and TV work includes Jane in Living Room, Bridget Jones’ Diary, Enigma, The Horn Blower, Holby City and Murder in Mind.
REBECCA SNELL FDI, CDE (units 6 & 7) - DANCE TUTOR Rebecca was awarded a scholarship to train at Central School of Ballet where she studied Cecchetti Ballet, Contemporary in Graham, Cunningham & Limon techniques, Pas De Deux & Jazz. She was trained by Darcey Bussell’s former tutor Nancy Kilgour alongside many other tutors from the Russian and Royal Ballet Companies. She completed the Cecchetti Ballet and ISTD Tap and Modern examinations up to and including Advanced Levels achieving Honours for all. She began teaching at Starlight in 2000 alongside running her own dance school. Many of her students have been awarded places at some of the leading Dance and Performing Arts Schools in the country. Rebecca currently attends professional classes at London Contemporary The Palace and attends workshops and courses at Penny Meekings Teacher Training Centre.
